A ghostly adventure with Luigi

Luigi’s Mansion 3 takes the green-clad plumber on another spooky yet comedic ghost-hunting adventure. This time, Luigi, Mario, Peach, and the Toads are invited to stay at the luxurious Last Resort Hotel, only to discover it’s a trap set by the mischievous King Boo. With Mario and friends captured in paintings, it’s up to Luigi and his trusty Poltergust G-00 to explore the hotel’s many haunted floors, solve puzzles, and capture ghosts. The mix of eerie atmosphere and slapstick humour keeps the game engaging, making it as fun to watch as it is to play.

Creative puzzles and varied environments

Unlike the previous games, Luigi’s Mansion 3 features a multi-floor hotel setting, with each floor offering a unique theme. From a medieval castle to a film studio and even a pirate-themed area, the creativity in level design keeps things fresh throughout the adventure. The Poltergust G-00 introduces new mechanics like the Suction Shot, Slam attack, and the ability to summon Gooigi—Luigi’s green, gooey counterpart—who can slip through grates and walk over spikes. These mechanics make for some cleverly designed puzzles and fun ghost-catching moments.

Multiplayer modes for extra fun

Beyond the main story, Luigi’s Mansion 3 offers multiplayer options that add extra replay value. The ScareScraper mode lets up to eight players team up online or locally to clear floors of ghosts against the clock. There’s also ScreamPark, a party-style mode where players compete in minigames. These additions make the game a great pick for both solo players and those looking for some multiplayer fun. With its charming visuals, inventive gameplay, and spooky-but-lighthearted tone, Luigi’s Mansion 3 stands out as one of the best games on the Switch.
