No. 40 Playing Cards

Numbered 40 in Nintendo’s series of trump playing cards, this mini deck comes complete with the original tax stamp and price sticker. This deck is difficult to date exactly without opening the wrapping. The numbering system Nintendo used seems to be arbitrary at times so offers little in the way of clues.

The giveaways here are the typestyle of the Nintendo logo itself, and also the tax stamp design. Oh, and probably the years of dirt accumulated on the box!
