A celebration of Mario’s legacy
Super Mario Maker (30th Anniversary Edition) gave players the ultimate toolset to create their own Mario levels. Released for the Wii U in 2015, it was a love letter to the franchise, allowing players to design, share, and play an endless variety of user-generated courses. With assets from classic games like Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U, it let fans craft their dream levels with surprising flexibility.
30th anniversary edition extras
This special edition was released to celebrate 30 years of Super Mario Bros. and included extra goodies for collectors. It came with a beautiful hardcover artbook filled with design insights and concept sketches, giving fans a peek into the creative process behind the game. Some versions also included a special 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo, which, when used, added the “Big Mushroom” power-up in-game, transforming Mario into a giant 8-bit sprite.
