A modern all-plastic Shogi set from Nintendo.
Shogi (将棋), pronounced sho-gee, is a popular strategy two-player board game in Japan, also known as Japanese chess. However, where it differs from standard chess is that it is possible for a captured piece to be returned to the board. This injects extra excitement into the game and less chance of it resulting in a draw!
Nintendo still manufactures this version along with other traditional games like mahjong and Go.
